Brother Raikello,

You seem to be making some decent progress.  I am glad that you are encouraging the Child to take his education seriously, and encouraging him to partake in innocent Pleasures.  Contrary to popular belief, The Almighty has no issue with the humans enjoying themselves.  After all, Pleasure is His invention, meant for them to use for their own benefit as well as the benefit of others.  What Our Dead Brothers constantly attempt is to encourage them to indulge in those Pleasures in manners, or at times, or for reasons that are forbidden.  You will do well to know, Raikello, that nothing is naturally on the side of Hell.

We must return again to the issue of bringing back the Child to the Truth.  I'm sure you remember my telling you that there are certain factors of Truth that The Almighty has stoned-carved onto every human mind.  These are truths that simply cannot be ignored, no matter how hard the humans try.  You'll notice that a good number of them do try with hell-bent intention to ignore them.  Again, their disbelief is not based on the idea that these factors are untrue, but a surfeit of baseless (and oftentimes selfish) reasons.  Their shameless and blind use of the words "prejudiced", "arrogant", and "intolerant" are their usual means of attack.

What they fail to realize, is that those derogatory words can be applied to just about anything in existence.  Even the most beneficial practices such as health care, education, and equal rights can be very well marked as "prejudiced", "arrogant", and "intolerant".  Those involved with health care can be called "prejudiced" in that they are "bigoted" against poor health and do what they can to purge their patients of it.  Those involved in education can be called "arrogant" in that they pose themselves as superior to their students in the subject at hand.  Superior enough even to tell them what is right and what is wrong about it.  Not to mention how the teacher is able to prescribe a grade and judge whether or not the students have effectively learned the topic (the scoundrel!).  Those involved in the support of equal rights can be considered "intolerant" of those who wish to treat people unfairly.  Who are they to say that people should not be allowed to do whatever they wish to whomever they wish?

What the Child needs to understand, Raikello, is that there is no sin in being exclusive.  The sin is excluding the wrong things.  Truth by its very nature is exclusive.  Anyone who disagrees with that sentiment proves it right by their disagreement (after all, disagreement is the very act of excluding an idea as false).  Anytime one makes a declarative statement or an assertion of any sort, the opposite is excluded.  Even if one were to make the statement "Everything is true", the opposite is still excluded (which, in this case, is "Not everything is true").  Every affirmation has a negation.  Acknowledging anything as true automatically means acknowledging something else as false.

Teach the Child to know that exclusion is not a sin.  Also, bring it to his attention that the people who exclude exclusivist ideals also exclude the existence of sin (How inclusive of them!).  Though, while doing this, Our Dead Brothers will not be idle.  More than likely, they will try to counter your teaching by bringing their incantatory use of "Democracy", attempting to convict him of conceit and arrogance by "going against the flow" and "trying to prove all others wrong".  They also do plausible work in keeping away from the Child's consciousness that Democracy is simply a very useful political system and it has almost no resemblance to the ideals that Hell markets.

What you must use as a guard is the fact that there is a time and a place for everything.  Democracy certainly has its place and is definitely supported by The Almighty, but Truth is not the place for Democracy.  The humans know all too well, though many deny it, that Truth is not democratic.  Observe their courtrooms!  When the jury is reaching a verdict (particularly on capital crimes), their decision must be unanimous to be considered valid.  Vox populi has never been a defining factor to Truth.  Franklin did not discover electricity by taking a vote.  A lie believed by millions is still a lie (regardless of what individuals those millions encompass).  Need you be reminded of the life and trials of the one known as "Galileo"?

Your Brother in Love and Truth,
Drosandus
And the third!!!

My favorite novel of all time is C.S. Lewis' "The Screwtape Letters". The premise of the novel is as follows:

A senior arch devil writing a series of letters to his lesser nephew devil to aid him in his task of securing the damnation of a young man who has recently become a Christian.

The author, C.S. Lewis, once said in writing that his novel probably should have been balanced out by arch-angelical advice to the young man’s guardian angel. I decided to take the liberty of writing such a piece and putting it in game form.

I must inform you that understanding some of the ideas presented here require a rather thorough knowledge of the teachings of Christ and the Scriptures. There are also some terms I use that I will define below:

The Almighty = God

Our Dead Brother(s) = Satan and the demons

The Child = a young man

The Saviour = Christ Jesus

The Great Casting = the event of when Satan and the demons fell from grace

Enjoy!!

EDIT: Wow, this is my 200th deviation!
