Description
Second assignment for the Expressions class at .
I apologize for being a little imaginative with this one. Twas' quite fun, though.
The assignment was to do 3 expressions of our character based our own face and three based on a pic from the net.
The top three are my own expressions. As you can see, I'm not the most expressive gentleman on the hemisphere. The others are , , and .
Always a blast. Enjoy!

I like all the variations of expressions, but you need to stick with a face! The top three look like they belong to the same character, but the ones belong to not. Notice how you drew her nose of different lengths, and the shapes of the head are the same at the "different" angles. It also kinda looks like you're just moving her face around on the same head template.
Try to remember the anatomy of the face and spacing in between eyes. If you're drawing the same character, make sure to keep features the same. Nose bridges and eye gaps don't just magically increase and decrease.
It seems that cheeks with quarter views and angles are difficult for you?? The last two on the bottom are a good examples of this. The head shapes are the same, yet the angles of the features on the face are different. The nostrils are on the same spot on the noses, where the one on the left needs to be lowered, assuming the right's nostrils are in correct position.
Hairlines are also important! Working with the same two ovals, the left has a forehead, while the one on the right's hairline is lowered considerably.
