Evening, all...

I'd like all of my loyal watchers to have a clue as to what is happening on my side of the screen.

  Come this Thursday (03.15.2012), I will be shipping off to join the US Naval Reserves.  The training will last about ten months before I go into my regular duties.  During the first two months of boot camp, I will be almost completely shut off from the outside world.  After that, I'll be spending eight months in Navy school.  This means a lot of things:

THE GOOD:

- After training, I'll be moving out of my folks' home for good.

- The money will be helpful (if I'm smart and don't let these people pull a fast one on me).

- I'll have a car and a security clearance afterwards.

- I'll (hopefully) be able to go back to school afterwards.

THE BAD:

- I'll be putting SO many things and opportunities on hold for a while.

- There are so many things that can go terribly wrong on this path.  If I can't get my transcript to them, I'll be woefully underpaid.

- I'll have virtually no time to practice.

- Other things that I'll have to write out...

This is just so you guys know where I am until next year.  If you want me to write to you over boot camp, you can send me a mailing address if you like.
